Located in the heart of Quezon City with the vantage paint from Commonwealth Avenue, JUANITA MARQUEZ-LIM Vda de GOKONGWEI CENTER will rise as part of the University of the Philippines Sports Complex. The site is along Magsaysay Avenue will have an area of 23,686.32 sm.

JUANITA MARQUEZ-LIM Vda de GOKONGWEI CENTER is an events center developed by the project proponent Gokongwei Brothers Foundation in memory of Juanita Marquez-Lim mother of John Gokongwei Jr. has a capacity of approximately 3,600 pax with a Gross Floor Area of approximately 12,000 sm. The project aims to provide for a sports venue designed to host numerous events such as Basketball, Volleyball, Boxing, Wrestling, Concerts, Badminton, Fencing, Judo, Aikido, Gymnastics, Futsal (Soccer), Sepak-Takraw, Table Tennis, Tennis etc. for the State University

The Design Concept is a stick broom “walis tingting” turning into a crown, symbolizing the struggles and successes of the Gokongwei family. Every broom stick is important but each broom stick cannot sweep independently. A broom consists of individual broomsticks collectively combined and tied together to depict strength of teamwork in UNITY.
